When you install VICIdial, using VICIbox iso file on the cloud platforms such as Linode or Digital ocean, you can not use their default backup solution to back up the Virtual Machine. Also if you want to backup a VICIdial server that you have installed on the bare metal system you need to know how to backup your VICIdial and restore the backup. Here to demonstrate how backup and restore work in VICIdial I installed 2 VICIdial systems. One of them is live and the other one is just a basic setup that I will use to restore my backup on it. Also, I will show you how you can sync your call conversation recording using the rsync command in Linux.
